Pink Hindi Movie Short Review

Amitabh Bachchan in Pink

“My clients said NO your honour. These boys should have realized NO means NO”

The girls and boys could do the same things and yet are treated differently in our society. Why ? – In Pink , director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury asks a relevant question as in the process, he also gives us one of the country’s best court room dramas ever made . Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Piyush Mishra put up terrific performances as it is difficult to take your eyes off the screen during the courtroom proceedings. Finally there is also Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan starts off in the movie breathing heavily , walking slowly and I thought he has started to look weak with age now. And then comes this second half where he uses his iconic baritone once again to keep everyone inside the courtroom on their toes and I realized I was mistaken. This man was 48 or 49 when he has amused me as a kid in movies like Hum and Agneepath. He is 73 now and he still holds me spellbound. There have been far few actors in our country who has got better with age like Amitabh Bachchan.

Pink is a must watch. It is the finest Hindi movie I have seen in a long while.
