The main reason behind Lucifer’s great repeat value is its superior picturization quality , the perfection Prithviraj Sukumaran achieved behind most of his frames and detailing that you notice in subsequent viewings.

As Lucifer turns one year, few of my favorite frames from the movie and why it stands out:

Prithviraj shows us the books Govardhan read and a photo frame of his family quickly for a moment, before introducing Govardhan. Photo frames have lot of importance throughout the movie

Prithviraj gave us hint on which side Murugan might be on early, but we may not have noticed.

This opening of barriers with the accompanying BGM is a technique that works to add impact to a mass scene.

How all the cameras on screen quickly turns and Adil says “Stephen” – another technique to amplify the scene.

Police charging towards the people while Stephen is unperturbed – Yet another technique.

Murugan unfolding his mundu – was not fear or respect. It was because of loyalty which you would learn later.

Prithviraj doesn’t have his villain and hero together in many frames, but whatever little time he gets, he gets it right.

Meanwhile talking about centering , look at these frames – First as a kid in the church. Second when he reaches at the funeral to pay final respects to PK Ramdas

Did you notice the first time that when Stephen kisses the baby and names him Vinayakan, the baby’s father smiles in the background ?

“Calm before the storm” – An unmoved Stephen calmly counting the people around before he moves swiftly on his next action

Prithviraj gets all his explosion scenes right. There is no compromise on production quality in any frame of this movie !

A speech acted, directed and picturized – all superbly !

Love this shot from the jail fight – another well choreographed stunt scene playing to Mohanlal’s strengths !

Prithviraj allows camera few moments to capture what a phenomenal actress Manju Warrier is in this hospital scene

Didn’t I tell earlier that Prithviraj like to center his frames precisely well ?

I told earlier that photo frames have quite importance in this movie. Prithviraj showing us the photo frame of Priyadarshini and her daughter with her deceased ex-husband before she orders to kill off Bobby.
